DGNEXT electronic shop

Project Summary

Electronics retailer, DGNEXT, commissioned our lab to refresh and realize their point of sale experience as part of a new company rebranding. This involved creating a future facing, technologically sophisticated virtual shopping experience that could be interacted with in-stores as well as online.

Project Summary

In collaboration with Coppola Design, we developed, designed, and created all of the creative and technical components needed to install a series of interactive workstations where customers could browse through inventory (over 25,000 products,) sale items, and learn more about specific items and promotions. These stations could be used in-store in an architectural digital installation as well as on mobile devices. All content was electronically updated daily.

Project Summary

Providing a seamless, fun, and approachable point of sale experience was the focal point of all of our design decisions. It was important to create an environment where DGNext’s large inventory was easy to navigate and streamlined. We created a series of both interactive and non-interactive large-scale multimedia stations that were all managed by one central system. Non-interactive stations published promotional content such as ads while the interactive stations provided a digital store experience. We produced all of the software, hardware, 2D and 3D animations. We additionally worked with Coppola Design to unobtrusively integrate these stations with the architecture of the physical stores.

Project Summary

The installation of digital stores immediately increased revenue because it not only made the shopping experience more efficient, but also enabled the client to sell products which it could not physically show on-site. While the digital stores were oftentimes staffed with a salesperson to help with any follow up needs, the electronic catalog became a tremendous resource for both the customer and employee because it made it possible to retrieve quick, immediate information in a dynamic and visual way. These installations also made it feasible for a customer to shop alone undisturbed and contributed to the ability to service more people at a given time.

Economically, the Digital Store increase the possibility to sale the product for many reasons: First of all Space, thanks the digital store, in a small space we can have more than 25.000 products at the same time; Sales Person don’t need to be update to the last product using their memories, they have an power tool for searching every products and every details of this product in a super quick way (a kind of big ultra interactive brochure all day updated); Client can interact alone and searching the product he need, whit the full help of the sales people which are present on place ready to answer all his questions; Client don’t need to store products inside the store, and can offer a large quantity of products, especially the large size ones (for ex fridge in all colors and variation, etc.)
