Project Summary

Italian pub, BO Bar, enlisted our lab to concept, design, and install a range of augmented reality experiences for customers to interact with in their newly constructed bar. This included a virtual, remote controlled smart menu (updated on a seasonal basis) an interactive hologram selfie game (optimized for social media sharing,) and an interactive hologram display (an information point that featured daily promotions.)

Approach

Our lab collaborated with architectural studio, Coppola Design, to optimize the potential of the bar space to support augmented reality experiences in a subtle yet engaging way. This resulted in a series of customized structures that were tailored for the client as well as creative solutions that merged technology with the historical bones of the environment. The Bo Bar is located inside the mall Happio in Roma.
